A word of welcome
Rainer Brüderle
from Rainer Brüderle MdB Federal Minister for Economics and Technology, patron of the German Printing Industry Innovation Award

Dear Sir or Madame,

the printing and media industry is in the midst of change. Online media are competing ever more with traditional printed products.

Against this exciting background, the printing and media industry will gather for the seventh time to recognize the most innovative products and services from all areas of the industry at the »PrintNight 2010«.
»The German Printing Industry Award«
provide examples of how market-oriented and forward-looking companies in the printing and media sector are.

I have gladly taken on the patronage of the Innovation Award because the German printing industry lies close to my heart as a sector that is heavily dominated by SMEs.

The industry has recognized that it can only strengthen its traditionally good, internationally competitive position through constant research and development efforts. The federal government supports in this.

I wish the PrintNight 2010 every success!

Yours,

Rainer Brüderle
Federal Minister for Economics and Technology
